| Senior Member Aficionado | isnt a demand for 3d at the moment?! are you insane.. the games industry is taking more money than the film industry now, and basically EVERY SINGLE big film has 3d/sepcial effects in it somewhere. you take away 3d then you take away 99% of the game industry, and destroy 95% of films out today... i really do not see how you feel there isnt the demand at the moment.. (sorry if i misunderstood what you meant) |

| Senior Member Fanatic | That's what's great about 3d at a time like this though. There is no demand for it on the web, because people are not aware that it's actually possible. Knowing 3d and knowing it well gives you such an advantage on the competition, who will most likely have to learn it when it becomes more popular. It also is a good indication of your versatility, if you are a web developer who knows 3d. I can undestand it doing nothing for you, I mean that's your call. _Michael

| Senior Member Aficionado | haha, ya... micahel and s_purs are both right, its a demand in the film and game industries... but you arnt seeing it very much on the web... so if people start doing these 3d shorts and still shots... when more and more people start seeing it on teh web the demand will go up... and like michael said, you guys will have teh advantage because of all teh things you've already made. =) |

| Senior Member Aficionado | they use either: 3ds max, maya, or softimage xsi. very hard programs to learn straight off though, you either need someone to teach you the basic knowledge of the program, or some very good tutorials. i have a very good video tutorial for 3ds max, which i will host on my website in a couple of days if anybody is interested |
