Why get Flash?

Hey everyone I have been a flash designer for about 2 years off and on. I use SWISHmax now. Yes cause the price. LOL - Well I have not played with Macromedia FLASH in many years and I am wondering if I could get some feedback on why I should go to it? I mean SWISH seems to do a fine job. So why would I need to buy FLASH? I just don't want to spend the cash if it is not needed.

Swish is like a tonka truck...Flash API is like a Monster truck. You get the full on onslaught of Macromedia tools, whereas, in Swish you get to move some things.

I've never heard of SWISH... so I don't know the differences between the 2 programs. (I do know flash very well tough)

But is there something you miss with SWISH? If you can't think of any, I also don't think you really need flash.

And I think you can download a 15 day free trial on the website of Macromedia. So first ask yourself if you miss something with swish, and then download the trial and see if flash would solve your problems ;)

No I don't miss anything with SWISH. I don't use flash all to much anymore. I use to use it all the time, years ago. I have just wondered if I needed to get back into it, but I don't think I will. I am not a flash type person as far as websites go. I like it for headers and buttons. That is about it.

Flash has become an entire development platform almost. You'd be crazy not to be familiar with it now.
