| Junior Member Casual Browser | ok first off... EXAMPLE Create your image, 16px X 16px Save as a 16Bit GIF file. use a app like IrfanView to save as a .ICO file. Name it: favicon.ico This is a Windows Icon File btw. now, upload it to your root folder. this is usually called one of the following: www, public_html, html, htdoc or root. now in your main index page add this in the head section: Code: <LINK href="http://www.yourdomain.com/favicon.ico" type=image/ico rel=icon> <LINK href="http://www.yourdomain.com/favicon.ico" type=image/ico rel="shortcut icon"> there you have it. If it doesnt show at first, reload your browser. works in FF, MZ, IE so far, havent tested any others

| Senior Member Fanatic | It's important to note that the XML standard which XHTML is based off of is case-sensitive, so the tags <LINK, and the proper <link are interpreted as different tags. So it would be proper, although not necessary if you are not sticking to the xhtml standard, for your tag names to be lower-case. _Michael

![]() | I have been a member of this message board for about 2 years now under a different username. The e-mail address that I used is no longer active, so I could not get my password resent to me. I registered under this username. I don’t know If anyone else here can remember, but this site still uses the favicon from the old blue and white layout. I guess you can say before they merged with sinjix. |
