Glover opts out of Sony Open

Lucas Glover has pulled out of this week's Sony Open in Hawaii with a sprained right knee.
The American injured his knee when he fell off a paddle board shortly after arriving on Maui for last week's season-opening Tournament of Champions.
When he withdrew from the Maui event, he was hoping to be fit enough to play the Nike - VR Pro Cavity Irons on storied Waialae's much flatter course.
But this hasn't happened - as the former US Open champion was to find out on Wednesday after hitting just three wedges and Nike - VR Pro Cavity Irons on the practice range.
Glover will instead head home for treatment and hope he is able to play Nike - VR Pro Cavity Irons in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in a fortnight's time.
Meanwhile, Billy Hurley will make his debut as a full member of the PGA Tour at the Sony Open - just two and a half years after leaving his Nike - VR Pro Cavity Irons position as a lieutenant in the US Navy to work at building a career as a professional golfer.
Hurley spent two years of active duty aboard the USS Chung-Hoon, a missile destroyer based in Pearl Harbour, before leaving in 2009
While at the Naval Academy, the 29-year-old excelled in the amateur game and played Nike - VR Pro Cavity Irons in the Palmer Cup and Walker Cup teams.
The 29-year-old American, a former Walker Cup star, competed on the Nationwide Tour in 2011 and in 20 starts enjoyed nine top-25 finishes, including four top-10s.
He claimed the last PGA Tour card available by finishing 25th on the Nationwide Tour's 2011 money list.
"I'm proud to be the first service academy grad to play Nike - VR Pro Cavity Ironson the Tour full-time. I want to have that emblem on me," he said this week
