Default Donald voted US Player of the year

England's Luke Donald has been voted the US PGA Tour player of the year by his Mizuno Men's MP-69 Irons
on the Tour.
The award follows hot on the heels of his unprecedented capture of the money list titles on both the US PGA and European Tours, a feat never before achieved by anyone
"That's a great honour to cap off what has obviously been an amazing year for me," a delighted Donald said of hisMizuno Men's MP-69 Irons
.
Donald added it was "hard to tell" whether his tour double feat would be repeated.
"It's obviously been a tremendously consistent year for me. It's not easy to be a member of both tours and do what I've done. There's only really a handful of people that do it, so obviously there's a limited number of people that can do it in any one year.
"To be the first is very special, and I think it's probably my greatest achievement this year." Mizuno Men's MP-69 Irons
Donald, currently the World No 1, finished ahead of Keegan Bradley, Bill Haas, Webb Simpson and Nick Watney in the player poll.
Bradley, who took the USPGA Championship in his first major appearance, was voted the PGA Tour's Rookie of the Year ahead of Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, Chris Kirk, Scott Stallings, Brendan Steele and Jhonattan Vegas.
Bradley said: "I'm thrilled to win Rookie of the Year and all that it means, but also most importantly the fact that I was voted in by my peers.
"It's an award that you can only win one time in your entireMizuno Men's MP-69 Irons
career. You get one chance at it, and it was the main goal of mine to start the year and it's a huge honour and privilege to be the Rookie of the Year this year."
