![]() ![]() ![]() | It isnt about him saying the n word that bother me it is about him mention reference to lynching if it was 50 years old ago hanging upside..... My relatives who are alive today watched how their love ones were lynch in result of racism and this happen less than 40 years ago! What about James Byrd and this happen back in 1998! Therefore racism is still alive just that folks are closet racists and it is political incorrect to be an open racist. What he said was from the heart and that many whites, not all, think the same but have no guts to say it beyond close doors. and I don't think that his apology is sincere. According to some sources, the club owner gave him an opportunity to apology the following night but he didn't show up and was banned. He only apology with the help of Jerry Seinfield and that he got caught on tape. He was sorry only because he was caught. The black hecklers was wrong for interrupted his show and called him a cracker but they have class not to got on stage and kick his butt after those remarks. but Richards know better because he suppose to be a vet comedy and he suppose to handle his hecklers no excuse for his outburst. Even Barbra Streisand able to handle her heckler without personally attack that person. His career as a standup comedian is over. I hope that he get his anger together! Oh well. At least him being honest I know what I can deal with. I liked his Kramer character but now because of that he lost my support. I am still going to watch Seinfield because it was his screwing up not the entire cast and they shouldn't have to pay for it. |

![]() | [gv]5077836087090378530[/gv] i don't know how long this clip will stay alive. google is a little better at keeping them. you are definitely right about the fact that it wouldn't be as racist or he could have gotten away with it looking like he was just pissed off and really wasn't a racist if it was JUST about the word nigger. The fact that he used the lynch thing was just too much.

![]() ![]() ![]() | thanks for you understanding and I wished more people see it like you. too bad they don't as they think that blacks are only mad about the n-word. Had Richards said the n word and with a punchline then I don't think people would be as upset I mean afterall there isn't really power for the n word. That lynching comment brought back painful memories especially to those who watched as their love ones was hung and we suppose to go forward with healing and more open discussions about improve race relations and his comments only making things go back 50 years. As to update this story.. Richards supposed to meet with the hecklers to apology and I guess to settle. That is what he should have done in the first place rather than going to the wrong format like Letterman show to do it. The hecklers have the right to be hurt but I don't think sueing Richards would do any good to overcome the pain. hey I would like to sue my bullies for called me names. Seriously when I seen that tape Richard only spoken what was held in his heart. I wished more people did what Richards did and that would help me to know who I am dealing with. |
