![]() | I don't get big into this much. I test them out on fire fox. Most likely if they work on fire fox they will on IE. If some one uses another browser, I wouldn't change my site just to fit theres. My rule of thumb is "if it works on fire fox it is good enough". |

| Administrator Enthusiast | Love or hat, it'e IE, it still dominates the browser marketplace. I'll just prepare myself for the stones that are bound to be thrown my way: I *like* IE7 - it's trimmed down, I'm not overloaded with toolbars, it seems to be getting it's act into gear - and I barely use FF any more apart from checking that my sites display correctly in it as well - I design for IE. That being said, designing for one browser or the other is all well and good if your market all use the same browser, but in a business-class web project, you can not afford to lose customers simply because they use a browser your site doesn't support - it just doesn't make business sense. Hence, my views on this topic are as follows: for a hobbyist site with a limited user base where you are reasonably certain of their browser - code for their browser, not yours; for a personal site also with a limited or niche market, code for your browser; in an enterprise application - you have to code for all of them. BTW: Contention - was it the 3px bug that did it? ![]() Thats what really irks me about IE Regards
