| CPM stands for Cost Per Mille or cost ‰. In Latin mille means thousand, therefore, CPM means cost per thousand. CPM is a commonly used measurement in advertising. Radio, television, newspaper, magazine and online advertising can be purchased on the basis of what it costs to show the ad to one thousand viewers (CPM). For example, in online advertising, if a website sells banner ads for a $20 CPM, that means it costs $20 to show the banner on 1000 page views. I saw the beginning of a CPM discussion in another thread on thee forums so i wanted to talk about the form of online advertising here in it's own thread. Honestly I don't think i would ever even begin seeing any kind of revenue from affiliate programs and such unless my site was insanely popular. I don't see that happening any time soon. Does anyone have any experience with affiliate programs that (i guess) specialize in CPM ads? Does this even exist?
